"Terlingua
Creek"
I
happened upon this emerald pool in Terlingua Creek in Big Bend National
Park on a hot
and
quiet day in late August. Terlingua Creek is usually just a small
trickle most of the year,
but
on this day, there was a pool over 20 feet wide and 10 feet deep and crystal
clear,
the
result of rain storms that drove through the area just days before.
I couldn't resist stripping
off
my clothes and diving into the pool from the rocky ledge on the far side.
